Good afternoon everyone,
I hope everyone has had success in finding placements and I hope everyone is learning lots and enjoying their placements! I didn't really work much at my placement last week, with so much school and homework and my other jobs on top of it all I found myself getting very run down. I find I have filled my schedule up so much that I hardly have any spare time for myself. On top of all that I went through some pretty serious personal things in the past week. I have always found it really hard to balance all the aspects of life, I am constantly over working myself and this is something I have really been trying to work on for myself. I think mental health is a super important thing and I think a lot of the time if forget to put myself first, and I forget how important it is to take a break or make sure I get a full night of sleep. This past weekend I decided I needed to take some much needed me time and put myself first and I went to visit some friends up north. I tried to limit the time I spent on my phone and got outside and did some hiking, which is something I really enjoy. What are some things that you guys enjoy doing when you feel like you need a break from everyday life?

Hi Josie, I saw your blog and it says so much about you. I am totally agree with you about not having enough time to spare with oneself and these were really busy even for me as we had Mid terms by the end of June. I rarely had any time for myself. I did night shifts at Tim's and in the mornings I had to go for the volunteering. I was even able to get enough sleep. More we had so many assignments and exams as well. I slept only for 4 to 5 hours on those days. On the other hand, i like your point as you said mental health is very important for oneself as it affects a person in so many ways. It can lead a change in persons behavior and also can that person real bad things. For you, i would say try to relax by listening to meditation songs etc. :)
